Saga Íslands (The History of Iceland)
The History of Iceland is an illustrated map of the history of Iceland from the country's settlement in 874 to present time. Based on cartographer and historian’s Samúel Eggertson’s publication The History of Iceland from 1930, this map seeks to update his work to present time. The map is divided in 11 categories; that of influential people, kings and rulers, laws and judgements, occupation, climate and seasons, earthquakes and eruptions, population of the nation, pestilence, education, domestic events and international influence.
The map illustrated with pencil drawn graphs of population growth, estimation of temperature throughout the centuries and volcanic eruption frequency.
